Adverb, Definition of Verb, Examples of Verb, Kinds of Verb:

Definition of Verb:

It is a word used to say something more about a verb a adjective or another adverb.
 یا متعلق فعل کہتے ہیں۔adverb کی وضاحت کرے اسے part of speech کے علاوہ کسی اور pronoun یا noun جو سکی 

For Examples:

  • She sings sweetly.             وہ بہت اچھا گانا گاتی ہے۔
  • I love my country truly. میں اپنے وطن سے سچی محبت کرتا ہوں۔
  • He goes to school regularly.       وہ اسکول باقاعدگی سے جاتا ہے۔ 
  • Aslam does his work carefully.    اسلم باقاعدگی سے جا تا ہے۔ 
  • Major Aziz Bhatti fought bravely.  میجر عزیز بھٹی بہادری سے لڑے۔
 sings, love, goes, does, fought ہیں جو فعل adverbs, sweetly, truly, regulary, carefully, bravely ان جملوں میں 
کی وضاحت کرتے ہیں۔ 

Kinds of Adverb.

1. Adverb of time: 

اس سے وقت کا پتا چلتا ہے۔

always, tomorrow, yesterday, now, then, always, sometimes, etc. 
                    

2. Adverb of Place: 

اس سے چگہ کا پتا چلتا ہے۔ 

here, there, out, etc.

3. Adverb of Manner:

 اس سے وجہ یا سبب کا پتا چلتا ہے۔ 

badly, slowly, gently, therefore, etc.

4. Adverb of Quality.

 اس سے مقدار یا حد کا پتا چلتا ہے۔ 

much, more, little, quite, almost, etc. 

5. Adverb of Comparison.

اس سے مقابلے کا پتا چلتا ہے۔  

than, to, etc. 

6.Adverb of Interrogation. 

اس سے کسی کام کا پتا چلتا ہے کہ وہ کب،کیسے،کیوں اور کہاں ہوا جیسے
when, where, why, how, etc. 

Exercise:

Underline the adverbs from the following.
  1. Faseeh ran fast.
  2. Uroosa is writing neatly.
  3. It was too hot yesterday. 
  4. Ebad speaks gently.
  5. This house is much better than that.
  6. Where are you going now?
  7. He has a very fast horse.
  8. Maaz is smaller than Ebad.
  9. He was out of school yesterday.
  10. The moon shines brightly.
